Jesus Says: Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away. Matt.24:35.

Generations follow generations – yet it lives.

Nations rise and fall – yet it lives.

Kings, dictators, presidents comes and go - yet it lives.

Torn, condemned, burned – yet it lives.

Hated, despised, cursed – yet it lives.

Doubted, suspected, and criticized – yet it lives.

Damned by atheists – yet it lives.

Exaggerated by fanatics – yet lives.

Misconstructed and misstated – yet it lives.

Ranted and raved about – yet it lives.

Its inspiration denied – yet it lives.

Yet it lives – as a lamp to our feet.

Yet it lives – as a Light to our paths.

Yet it lives – as a standard for childhood.

Yet it lives – as a guide for youth.

Yet it lives – as an inspiration for the matured.

Yet it lives – as a comfort for the aged.

Yet it lives – as food for the hungry.

Yet it lives – as water for the thirsty.

Yet it lives – as rest for the weary.

Yet it lives – as light for the heathen.

Yet it lives – as salvation for the sinner.

Yet it lives – as grace for the Christian.

To know it is to love it. To love it is to accept it.

To accept it means Life Eternal.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.   2 Cor 5:17.

                                   NO EASTER WITHOUT CROSS

The Scriptures outline 5 aspects of Cross:

  1. The Death on the Cross    ( Phil.2:8)        – An act of  Submission
  2. The Blood of His Cross      ( Colo 1:20)     - An act of  Shedding
  3. The word on the cross       ( 1 Cor 1:18)   – An act of  Sharing
  4. The sacrifice on the Cross ( Gala. 5:11)    –An act of  Suffering
  5. The Glory on the Cross     ( Gala 6:14)    – An act of  Superior Service

The Cross is the only continuing sign of Hope. During Lent as we reflect upon the Word of god and spend time in prayer we will be able to

-         Repent         for our sins

-         Receive         God’s mercy and forgiveness

-         Restore          broken relationships with god and one another

-         Rededicate  ourselves to follow God’s values and expectations

-         Reflect           God’s image

-         Resolve          to be a salt and a light to form a transformed community.

May God grant us His grace to enlighten our life to be worthy of His calling.
