NO EASTER WITHOUT CROSS
The Scriptures outline 5 aspects of Cross:
- The Death on the Cross ( Phil.2:8) – An act of Submission
- The Blood of His Cross ( Colo 1:20) - An act of Shedding
- The word on the cross ( 1 Cor 1:18) – An act of Sharing
- The sacrifice on the Cross ( Gala. 5:11) –An act of Suffering
- The Glory on the Cross ( Gala 6:14) – An act of Superior Service
The Cross is the only continuing sign of Hope. During Lent as we reflect upon the Word of god and spend time in prayer we will be able to
- Repent for our sins
- Receive God’s mercy and forgiveness
- Restore broken relationships with god and one another
- Rededicate ourselves to follow God’s values and expectations
- Reflect God’s image
- Resolve to be a salt and a light to form a transformed community.
May God grant us His grace to enlighten our life to be worthy of His calling.
